As a specialized platform in the architectural design industry, Architect @Work Exhibition was once again held during June 27-28, 2013 in Shanghai. MATSU made appearance on the exhibition with its new artistic theme of “Art @ Work” to promote its latest product models with artistic designs.
Art is the lifeblood of artists; design is an expression of the real life. Art makes out lives better. The wings of art take our lives into a freer and broader world. Art gives people endless inspiration for creation. MATSU wants to introduce the amazing art into the offices where people spend most of their time. It is the first attempt to combine art and office with more hope. MATSU appeared on this exhibition in the name of art and invited the artist Wang Xiaohui who returned from Germany to show her nano photographic works in the same time in MATSU Shanghai Flagship Showroom. These illustrate the Exhibition’s theme “Art@Work” and bring surprises to the visitors on art and office.
In the Architect @Work exhibition hall, MATSU showcases various latest public products developed by MATSU and its German partner Kusch +Co and Nimbus, including the Njord leisure chair who had won numerous international design awards, the classic and fashionable 8080 VIP reception sofa co-designed by MATSU and Porsche Design Studio, the amazing Roxxane LED, the charming Singlax leisure sofa and so on. At MATSU, each design is an expression of an idea. Each presentation is the central focus of the crowd. Each product is the expression of art.
The beauty of “mixed-up” -Njord
Scaffidi&Johnsen designed Njord together. Straight lines with delicate curves. You can tell at first glance that Njord is rather exceptional! Njord won ”Red dot”、”iF product design award 2013”、”AIT Innovation Award 2012”、”Interior Innovation Award 2013” . These awards provide convincing proof that this unique armchair is at the pinnacle of the contract furniture trade. The seat shell is nested on 4 elegant legs – chalice shaped at the top. The material wood is worked into an unusually slender frame. The seat shell seduces with its organic design and the soft touch of the material surface, entirely made of anthracite polyester felt. An eye-catching design, weighing only 4.5 kg. Optionally with a woolpolyamide felt seat pad or a cushion.

Uni_verso means overall; the universe series biggest characteristic is the whole series. It is not only the first product which simple composition defines the family series; but the clever design of the modular series through main components of wood and plastic, can be matched to different frameworks to create a rich product series.
Bright Everywhere
Roxxane, which combines infrared sensor and has a revolutionary breakthrough in technology, is MATSU’s first LED work light that controls switch and brightness through non-contact gesture control function.You can talk with her with your unique language "gesture" and she seems to have a life, can breathe, and stay bright with you just like the light on your palm. Roxxane’s 3D link (can be rotated 270 °) can allow the lamp to smartly follow you in all directions and position precisely. While bringing a glare-free reading and office environment, it provides a soft and comfortable elegant operating experience.
