A theme forum activity was to be held in future office experience center M-Office jointly sponsored by MATSU and “Keng-Group” on February 1, 2015 to discuss stories in association with design of SOHO from the perspectives of architecture and cities, landscape and environment as well as inside and outside.
When speaking of Shanghai SOHO, it is a must to mention a well-known design master ZahaHadid. It can be said that discussion about Shanghai SOHO, implied deconstruction design concept, architecture and surrounding environment and even relationship between architecture with the whole city never stop, since the first design drawing made by ZahaHadid emerge.
A wide range of view about her design appear, for example, some people are of the opinion that her design is cool or crazy, or trend-setter of future design and only “visual invasion”, or others believe that she is just “an architect on paper”. However, she has given her answer with many real cases.
Many famous Chinese contemporary landscape designers will be invited for this forum to discuss how to make environment and architecture (surrealism) best match and harmonize each other with three SOHO landscape projects as cases from different perspectives.
As the host, MATSU at the forum introduced the Volpino seat designed by the German designer Norbert Geelen who created the seat for Kusch + Co, a partner of MATSU. Meanwhile, MATSU demonstrated its 18-year pursuit for originality in design and proposed a new philosophy for future office space development.
