Baidu was founded in 2000 in Beijing, and now it is the biggest Chinese search engine and website. It is also the most popular and influential website in China.

In 2009, Baidu Mansion, located in the section 7 at Shangdi Information Industry Base, Haidian Beijing, was officially put into use. In order to establish an international corporate image and maintain the traditional cultural identity, the designers proposed a “information park” concept. They weren’t trying to build Baidu into a cultural park; they were trying to deliver the Baidu culture which features technology, equality and communication, so that the concept could draw people closer, people and the building closer as well as people and the environment closer. Therefore, everyone could have a better understanding of Baidu’s relaxing, natural and conformable working culture. Baidu chose MATSU to realize everything and MATSU returned Baidu a high-quality workspace with delicately designed products.
